We bring you ‘Was Christ Crucified?’ a scintillating debate held on July 17th 1994 at Mapel Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada between Bishop General Wesley H. Wakefield, Bishop General of the Bible Holiness Movement of Vancouver and Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, South African Muslim Scholar of the Christian Bible.
This is also the last major debate that Sheikh Ahmed Deedat participated in prior to his stroke. A job well done, it remains to be decided by the viewer whether Christ was really crucified at the cross!

I’m afraid that Bishop Wakefield brought a knife to a gun fight in this debate.
Bishop Wakefield seemed to be less of a scholar and more of an angry preacher – his responses being largely ‘faith’ based by comparison to Deedat’s many quotes and references to both holy books.
It really was no contest at all.
