Shaikh Uthman Barry has passed away on Sep 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m India time

Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon

Shaikh Uthman Barry passed away at 11:00 am India time. We were informed by one of the group members of the eSisters Forum through the following email (this email was forwarded to me by my mother at local fajr time in Dubai today):

Innalillahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon,

AssalamualaykumwarahmatAllahi wabarakatuhu,

With a very heavy heart I’m letting you know that our close friend, teacher, father-figure and Shaykh, Uthman Barry has passed away today morning around 11:00 am India time.

It is on the best of the months and inshaAllah the best ofthe days that he has left us, and I ask you to pray for hisforgiveness and for his entering into Jannah without anyreckoning.

The family plans to have his Janaza in Delhi itself, insha-Allah by <em>dhuhr </em>tomorrow if all the paperwork is finished.

I request you to make dua.

I have also called and asked the KALEMAH institute in Dubai, UAE, who have confirmed this news.

May Allah bless his choicest blessings on Shaikh Uthman Barry and accept his dawah and his struggle to be a fountain of light for many of us Muslims in the United Arab Emirates. Ameen

I always found him a very soft spoken aalim (scholar) with a humble and nurturing approach to Islamic teaching. May Allah accept from him and grant him a great darajah (position).

We pray for all Muslims who have passed away this month and May Allah Subhana Wa Taala Forgive their sins and admit them into His Paradise.
